Once upon a time, exercise was thought to only be possible in a gym environment unless you were able to run outdoors. However, over the last few years exercise has become easier! Many saw exercise as something that consisted of strict guidelines.

In the last 3 years or so exercise has become much easier. Even though many of us in the health and wellness industry has worked for far longer than that to educate the general population on other ideas about exercise, the masses insist on staying true to the thought that exercise was meant for the gym or for those who were able to run.

Exercise has become more mainstream and easier thanks to the internet!

Though we all have different opinions about the internet, one thing is safe to say – the internet has allowed us to mainstream exercise and make it more attainable for everyone!

It’s easy to see just how the internet has changed the fitness industry when you look at how far we have come over the last few years.

6 Ways Exercise has Become Easier in the last 2 Years

Think about it, just 10 years ago you weren’t able to stream millions of exercise programs, and as few as 5 years ago, it was close to impossible to meet with your trainer virtually. If you wanted a specialty piece of equipment, such as an exercise bike or a treadmill, you were going to have to pay a substantial fee.

Today, you have access to so many options, there are no more excuses! Exercise has become easier than ever and it’s time to take advantage!

6 Ways That Exercise Has Become Easier In The Last 2 Years

1. More education available at your fingertips.

You can go to YouTube or Google and find just about anything you want to know about fitness. You have to be careful, however, not everything you find on the internet is worth trying.

2. More activities have become accepted as exercise

Just a few years ago, I had a client tell me, “I like to walk my neighborhood, but I know that doesn’t really count for exercise.” Stop! It does! It counts!

Remember, if you are being active, raising your heart rate, and moving your body – it counts as exercise! Exercise has become easier as you consider all the options available to engage in!

3. Online training

In 2020, we were all forced to go online. Though this was a difficult transition to make for some, at M3 we saw it as an opportunity to serve our clients better. Today, personal training is more accessible than ever before with online training!

4. Zoom

Zoom has become a necessary evil in some respects. For many of us, we became more familiar than we ever thought we would with the online tool when our work and our kids’ school went online. The truth is, however, now that utilizing Zoom has become an everyday thing for so many, it makes it easy and convenient to stay up to date on your sessions with your personal trainer! Thus, with Zoom exercise has become easier!

5. Greater access to exercise equipment

I remember just a few years ago just how difficult it was to find a variety of Kettlebells for one of my fitness classes. I had to drive around from store to store to try to find enough variety to provide my class with the tools they needed to succeed.

Today, exercise equipment is carried in more stores and online. Thus, it is much more accessible to anyone who is looking for the convenience of an “at home” routine.

6. Social Media

A key to success for any goal is creating community. It’s vital to have people around you to encourage you and cheer you on when you trip along the way, and when you succeed. Social media has been a game-changer in this area.

When used appropriately, the group and people you interact with on social media can lift you up and help you get through the toughest days of your fitness journey. Exercise has become easier and more attainable over the last two years.

That doesn’t mean you may not need or want, more guidance. Add the M3 online course today to get the guidance you need to exercise more and reach your fitness goals.
