Having strong routines will set you up for greater success at the end of the year. Too many wait till the last minute and try to change their routines on the fly. This is why we see so much frustration and weight gain during the holidays.
You don’t have to let the holidays sabotage your success. We all understand how busy things can be with friends and family in town. It’s time, however, to set yourself up for success!

Here are 5 kettlebell exercises that will hep you get through the business of the holidays!
Though each of these exercises is performed with a kettlebell, it is important to remember that you can use a form of resistance to get the job done. If you have a set of dumbbells or resistance bands, they will work just as well. The important thing to remember is that you are looking for something simple, consistent, and doable for the upcoming holiday season.
At M3, we recommend that you start by performing 12 to 15 repetitions of each exercise for just one set if you haven’t performed any strength exercises in a long time. Adding another set every two weeks or so.
1. Kettlebell Chest Press
The kettlebell chest press is a great exercise to activate the chest and the shoulders. This exercise is simple and will get you great results.
2. Kettlebell Swing-need video
The kettlebell swing is a great full-body exercise that we do regularly with our clients. Targeting your shoulders and legs, it’s a great workout to also work on your endurance and cardiovascular fitness.
3. Kettlebell Row
The kettlebell row is a great exercise that focuses on the back in your rhomboids, the space between your shoulder blades, as well as the back of the shoulder.
4. Kettlebell Kickback for Your Triceps
The kickback is a great exercise to add to your fitness routine to really work on the strength in the back of the arm – your triceps. You will also work on your shoulder stabilization while working on proper positioning.
5. Kettlebell Lunge with Bicep Curl – video needed
This is one of our favorite combination movements. Working the upper and lower body together while also engaging the core and working on your balance. It’s everything you would want in just one exercise!
Implementing these 5 exercises at least 3 days per week will help you stay on track throughout the holiday season and beyond.
