Change – for most, it’s an ugly word. Some people completely avoid it as much as they can. The reality, however, is that change, especially effective change, is necessary for growth.

Many people fear change. They avoid it at all costs.

They fear the discomfort and the unknown, and yet they still want the result. They want the growth that comes along with change but they are so scared of what may be on the other side and how difficult it could be to get there that they never take the chance.

What goes through your mind when you think of effective change?

Change, no matter what kind, will induce stress to some level no matter what. This is normal. This is supposed to happen. It’s this stress that allows us and forces us to grow.

We all think of many different things when we think about change. Whether subconscious or conscious. Some are immediately stressed. They avoid it as much as they can. Even just the thought of change causes stress and an overwhelmed feeling.

For others, they get excited. They are energized when they consider change and how it may affect their life. Just the thought of the new opportunities ahead is what motivates you. It is a driving force that you may not even recognize.

When we run from change, we run from growth. This will cause a plateau in life, training, and most certainly in your performance.

Whether we like it or not, we should all be looking to run towards more positive, effective change. Effective changes can impact your health and wellness in multiple ways that can help you live a more powerful life.
